Welcome to the Wharton Council website! The Wharton Council is composed of a group of 17 undergraduates dedicated to improving student life in the undergraduate program. The Council achieves this goal by organizing community-building social traditions and initiatives for students as well as through funding and supporting over forty different clubs in Wharton. As a dynamic organization committed to serving the changing needs of the undergraduate population, the Wharton Council works directly with the Director of Student Life in the Wharton Undergraduate Division.

In high school you played the game Assassins in your friends’ backyard, in high school or in the neighborhood. In college, all of Penn becomes your new playground, as players – affectionately coined Corporate Raiders – seek to be the last man or woman standing. To the winner go the spoils...this year’s top prize is a Bose iPod Soundock!
This year, over 350 students will take part in Wharton’s version of Assassins, in which each corporate raider is tasked to “take over” another raider by tagging him or her with their official Hostile Takeover ball. Players will need to resort to creative methods to find their targets (i.e. Facebook stalking, finding mutual friends...) all the while staying out of range of their own pursuers. The last ten standing will be invited to the Gamemaster’s Final Boardroom, where anything goes!
This is Wharton’s most popular tradition – the real March Madness is just beginning!
Pick up your official Hostile Takeover ball and sign a waiver on either Monday or Tuesday, March 22-23 our sign-up table, behind the security desk of Huntsman’s Locust Walk entrance.
Await the Gamemaster’s e-mail with your assigned target for Round 1!
