Wharton Commodities Group

Wharton Commodities Group is the only organization providing an opportunity to its members and the Penn community to get an insight of the commodity markets. By organizing Speaker events with Commodity experts and Fund Managers, National conferences and many other activities we will be exchanging ideas and discussing the current economy with a focus on commodities. WCG’s annual Trading Challenge- Otis helps our traders prepare for International trading competitions  and acts as a learning platform for those with no prior knowledge about commodities.

Wharton European Conference Club


The Wharton European Career Conference* is a twice a year event designed to help stud ents find job and internships opportunities in Europe. Spearheaded by students from Europe and American students with a passion for Europe, the WECC hope to eliminate the barriers that have limited crossover between Wharton Students and opportunities in Europe. Our focus is on London because of ease of transitions, but we also contact firms in other Western and Eastern European countries. The full time opportunity fair is held in the fall and the internship fair is held in the spring.

Wharton Global Markets Group
The Wharton Global Markets Group aims to educate the undergraduate body on the dynamics of the global financial markets. Focusing on Global Economics, Global Fixed Income, Global Equities, Global FX & Derivatives, and Global Central Banking and International Financial Regulation, our research covers the US, the UK, the EuroZone, Latin America, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and Other Advanced Economies. The club aims to quarterly research reports on hot topics in the global markets, in addition to providing the Wharton community with weekly global markets closing reports containing economic releases and market commentary.

Wharton Healthcare and Management Club

The Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club aims to be the forum to help students learn about and understand the health care industry, connect with others with similar interests in health care, and recruit for entry-level positions at health care focused firms. To achieve these goals, the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club has a number of committees to host a number of events, including the Curtis S. Lane Speaker Series, luncheons with leading health care leaders, mentoring with MBAs from the Wharton Health Care Club, and opportunities to connect and build relationships with industry-professionals.

Wharton Hedge Fund Club

The Wharton Hedge Fund Club (WHFC) is an educational organization that, by bringing students into contacts with professionals in the industry, teaches and educates students about the Hedge Fund space. The Club offers meetings that revolve around themes previously established in a curriculum created with the help of our adviser, fund manager Richard S. Bookbinder, and seeks to cater for students with no knowledge of the industry. Nonetheless, due to the dynamic and interactive nature of the seminars, members with prior knowledge are more than welcome and will note that they can add to the discussions taking place. Come learn in a safe and fun environment and listen to the fantastic group of professionals who have so kindly volunteered to come speak to us.

Wharton India Economic Forum

WIEF is the pre-eminent student-run economic forum in the United States for discussing issues affecting India. The Wharton India Economic Forum currently attracts 60+ speakers and more than 800 attendees in March.

The Wharton Retail Club works closely with the Jay H. Baker Retailing Initiative to build a strong relationship between students interested in retail and the retail industry. Wharton Undergraduate Energy Club*
The Wharton Undergraduate Energy Club is focused on connecting the Penn and specifically the Wharton undergraduate community with the Energy industry and related services. Through hosting events focusing on the Energy industry, with speakers from conventional energy companies e.g. oil, gas and coal to newer and more renewable energy companies e.g. wind, solar, bio-fuels, we hope to expose the undergraduate community to the thriving and dynamic energy industry. Furthermore we will connect with Private Equity/Venture Capital and Consulting firms focused on the Energy industry and speakers from the political sphere as well, e.g. lobbyists and politicians who play such important roles in shaping the nations energy policy.

Wharton Undergraduate Private Equity/Venture Capital Association
The Wharton Undergraduate Private Equity/Venture Capital Association seeks to aid students in understanding the nature of the venture capital industry, develop venture capital initiatives for the student curriculum, increase general interest in the venture capital arena, and facilitate career oriented pursuits in the venture capital field. To expose members to the diverse nature of the venture capital field, the organization has various committees, each with a specific focus. These committees serve as outlets to pursue specific interests in venture capital as well as gain general knowledge of the field. The organization seeks to further its mission through hosting a variety of events. Members can expect to develop excellent contacts in the venture capital field, gain an enhanced understanding of the dynamics involved in venture capital deals, improve leadership skills, and find opportunities for pursuing particular venture capital oriented interests.

To promote greater awareness of the real estate industry to club members and the larger Wharton community, to provide an informal forum for students interested in real estate to exchange ideas, share experiences and learn from one another, to organize formal programs to assist members in pursuing professional careers in real estate, to provide opportunities for students to interact with Department faculty and Center personnel and members, and to help maintain The Wharton School's prominence as the leading real estate program among graduate business schools.

Wharton Women is Penn's largest paid-member undergraduate student organization. Wharton Women strives to facilitate the personal and career development of women in business by building a network of exceptional undergraduates, professionals and faculty.
