Welcome back, Club Leaders! On behalf of the Wharton Council and the Wharton Undergraduate Division, welcome back to Penn for another exciting school year. This year, Wharton is unveiling a new framework for undergraduate clubs. The purpose of the new framework is to better unify, monitor, and support the clubs that form such a vital backbone of Wharton student life. The ultimate goal is to create a stronger, more vibrant club community within Wharton. The changes that will be implemented will require the cooperation, patience, and continual input of club leaders. We hope that you, the club leaders, will actively work with us to make these new changes successful. So why be a Wharton Council recognized club? Here are just a few reasons: - Semester budgets, which give you access to funding for all of our events
- WebCafe space, a great online workspace for you and your club to post and archive all of your documents
- Webspace on our clubs.wharton.upenn.edu server
- Unique marketing channels, such as access to the Baker Forum to hang your banners, as well as access to the Spike, plasma screens, and the Wharton Exchange, a weekly summary email sent to all undergraduates detailing club events for the week
- A G95 bank account, a great way to seamlessly store all of your clubs funds without needing to transfer account details from year to year
- The Wharton brand, a powerful value-add that allows you to say you are a Wharton recognized club!
- A Wharton Council liaison, who is there to help and support you with events, marketing, and leadershp development.
As well, recognition gives you automatic access to these two wonderful Wharton traditions: - The Wharton Undergraduate Leadership Forum, a unique opportunity forĀ undergraduate club leadersĀ to meet and discuss best practices for event execution, marketing and financing
- Clubbing Night, the official unveiling of your club to the incoming Freshman!
